Age Limit Details

1. Research Associate – Age should not be more than 40 years

2. Senior Research Fellow – Age should not be more than 35 years

3. Young Professional-II – The minimum age under young professional category will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules

.4. Young Professional-I – The minimum age under young professional category will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

5. Office Assistant – Age should not be more than 35 years for men and 40 years for women and with relaxation as per rules.

 

 

 Educational Qualification Details

1. Research Associate – Ph.D. in Fishery Science/ Marine Science/ Physical Oceanography or related.Desirable Experiences• Experience in climate modelling and climate change related research.• Experience in Fishery Oceanography and Ecosystem process studies.• Proven experience in the relevant field with publications in peer-reviewed journals.• Candidates with strong motivation and independent ideas preferred.

2. Senior Research Fellow – Master’s degree in Fisheries Science/ Marine Biology/ Oceanography or related. Master’s Degree shall be in the relevant subject with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree or for candidates with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET or equivalent qualification as mentioned in revised ICAR guidelines. Ph.D. degree holders are exempted from NET.Desirable Experiences• Experience in climate modeling /Fishery Oceanography/ climate change related research.• Cruise participation, Water and sediment quality analysis, Plankton identification.• Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.

3. Young Professional-II – Postgraduate in Fisheries Science/ Marine Science/ Environmental Science/ Agricultural Statistics/ StatisticsDesirable Experiences• Experience in Climate change related research/ fishery data analysis/ statistical modeling/ Oceanographic sampling/ handling of oceanographic equipment.• Experience in identification of marine plankton/ Water and sediment quality analysis.• Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals

4. Young Professional-I – Graduates/ Diploma holders in Fisheries Science/ Marine Science/ Marine Biology/ Zoology/ Botany.Desirable Experiences• Knowledge in ecological principles/ environmental analysis/GIS/Geoinformatics / Mariculture (Seaweed)5. Office Assistant – Graduates/ Diploma holderDesirable Experiences• Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in MS Office.• Work experience in Government/ private office.• Diploma in Commercial practice
